Entering the 21st Century, people aged 65 or over made up 13 percent of the population yet consumed 36 percent of the nation's spending for personal health care. On average, healthcare spending by seniors is four times that of the rest of the population. As few seniors have growing incomes, using these healthcare dollars wisely is of increasing importance - and therefore an issue that senior serving professionals need to be equipped to address. This program will cover the issues that face senior healthcare consumers and offer tools to get the best return for the healthcare dollar, including:

  • What to do if your physician of choice decides to leave Medicare

  • Checking and challenging hospital and medical bills

  • Getting help communicating with your healthcare providers

THIS PROGRAM IS FREE TO N.A.R.C. MEMBERS
($39 FOR NON-MEMBERS).
